TRAVEL
Whether you’re flying in, taking the ferry, or driving, here’s how to get to Westhampton Beach for the weekend.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Travel by Air
NYC Airports | JFK · LGA
Best for guests flying in from farther away
If you fly into JFK, you can take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station and catch the Long Island Rail Road (Montauk Branch) to Westhampton or Speonk.
If you fly into LGA, you can rent a car or take an Uber. Allow at least 2 hours, and more on a Friday afternoon.
Long Island & Hamptons Airports | ISP
Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Islip is the closest commercial airport. It’s an easy 35–45 minute Uber or rental car ride to Westhampton Beach. Check to see if there is a flight available from your location!
Travel by Sea
Cross Sound Ferry | New London, CT → Orient Point, NY
Best for family & friends coming from Boston
This is our favorite way to get there from Boston! Skip traffic and start the weekend on the water. Drive your car onto the ferry in New London, cross Long Island Sound in about 1 hour, and drive off at Orient Point on the North Fork. From there it’s about an hour to Westhampton Beach, past farm stands and vineyards.
Click the button below to reserve your spot on the ferry.
Pro tips:
Book your car spot early. We recommend reserving at least a couple of months ahead, because the weekends sell out.
Head up to the bar. Grab a drink, find an Adirondack chair on deck and let the vacation begin!
Travel by Land
Train | Long Island Rail Road
Best for guests coming from NYC who don’t want to drive
Multiple trains run daily from either Grand Central or Penn Station to the Westhampton or Speonk train stations. Speonk is just 10 minutes from WHB and usually has more frequent service, so check both when you plan your trip.
Taxis and Ubers are available from both stations.
Driving
Best for road-trippers
Westhampton Beach is about 1.5 to 2 hours from Manhattan, depending on traffic, and about 4.5 to 5 hours from Boston without taking the ferry. Plan to leave early on Friday as traffic heading east picks up quickly in the afternoon.
